Creating with water, flowers and writing.

Creating with flowers is one of my favorite ways to express myself. This time combine the flower arrangement with water. Water has a unique ability to lift people's spirits. Maybe it's because of all the ways it can restore and refresh the mind and body, but it seems to be more than that. Water also symbolizes the creative and nurturing energy of a mother (like the Earth).

The Virtues of the water element are Wisdom and Listening. Water is our feminine, receptive, go-with-the-flow nature of dealing with "what is." This often requires feeling strong emotions without pushing them away.

I started looking for a container to do my flower art. I put leaves I saw on the ground around it. They are like treasures that Mother Earth gives us. In the same way I added a rock that I found at the base of the tree where I was sitting. One more element that is added to my creation.

I added water to the container and began the process of creating.

The flowers that I used were from a wedding that I attended recently and others that had been given to me. When the flowers are about to be thrown away, don't forget that you can create art with them.

After creating my flower mandala in the water, I manifested with my hands and wrote in my journal.

I answered these questions:

1-How am I feeling lately?

2-What does happiness look like to me?

3-Things I want to prioritize…

Writing is creative expression, healing of the soul.

“Writing is a powerful tool for expressing and coping with emotions. It allows us, on the one hand, to get to know ourselves better and, on the other, to accelerate recovery from the discomfort that symptoms of anxiety and depression usually cause us. Writing can help us unlock some emotions associated with our thoughts, make our goals and desires clearer, or help us understand situations that cause us problems with others. Writing usually makes us distance ourselves from what we live and also allows us to give it meaning. It helps us to consider our emotions in a simpler way by getting them out of our body and mind. This usually helps us to handle them more effectively without getting too hooked on them.” -From: menteamente.com

When I finished writing in my diary, I offered the tree that accompanied me, the water with the flowers and the stone. I thanked for the gifts of mother earth and thanked for having a space to express myself.

Dedicating time to these spaces of expression are an integral part of my self-care. I invite you to try it.
